PISCATAWAY -- Three Rutgers defensive players agreed Saturday that four takeaways and a plus-three turnover margin should equate to a win.
"Oh, absolutely," defensive end Darnell Davis said after returning a recovered fumble 75 yards for a touchdown. "You have to win the game."
"Definitely you expect to win when you win the turnover ratio," safety Kiy Hester said.
"You expect to win games when you have four or five takeaways," safety Saquan Hampton said, "but we didn't. We left some plays out there."
The Scarlet Knights have had four chances to win a conference game and failed each time, a disturbing trend.
