It was a game in which Thomas had gotten off to a fast start, making what amounts to a season's worth of highlights for some players in less than two quarters, when things suddenly went left.
"The game was going well," Thomas told NJ.com Saturday night. "I had like 4 tackles for loss and a touchdown halfway through the second quarter.
"But I wish I could've finished."
However, the reason why he didn't finish had Thomas' family, Rutgers fans and others in his support system concerned something serious had occurred.
Luckily, Thomas' mother was with him throughout the ordeal, which had everyone in attendance concerned, knowing what sometimes is the end result of hits such as this.
