PISCATAWAY -- On the second snap of his Rutgers career, Giovanni Rescigno broke multiple tackles and ran for a 42-yard touchdown.
Rescigno did not return to the field in blowout time that day against Howard or in any of the next four games, leaving some fans scratching their heads as to where the redshirt sophomore could've gone wrong.
How about the seemingly unflappable Rescigno? Was he surprised it took so long to get a second opportunity?
"Not necessarily," Rescigno said after Saturday's 24-7 loss to Illinois.
