PISCATAWAY – The status of indefinitely suspended wide receiver Leonte Carroo has not changed, according to Rutgers football coach Kyle Flood, whose own status is a subject of scrutiny.
Asked if there is a chance Carroo will play against Penn State or if it is a longer suspension, Flood said, “I don’t anticipate any change in status as of right now. It would be hard for me to answer the rest of that until I had more details just because it’s a hypothetical.”
Carroo, the brightest star on the team and one of four co-captains, was suspended Sunday following his alleged involvement in an altercation outside the football stadium Saturday night.
