SOUTH ORANGE -- His office is so free of clutter that it feels like a long hallway -- rather than just a few feet -- separates his desk from the inviting seating positioned around a coffee table.

That's the way Seton Hall athletics director Pat Lyons likes it.

Whether it's a complex metaphor for a clear mind able to execute visions or simply indicative of how he has cleaned up messes around Seton Hall is up to you.

"I kind of pinch myself because we have all new facilities, our programs are all on the rise and fundraising is going well," Lyons told NJ Advance Media during a wide-ranging 1-on-1 sitdown.
