One is a four-star recruit with a mailbox filled with Division 1 scholarship offers, a 6-foot-4 prototypical pro-style passer with a big arm who grew up just 15 miles away from the Rutgers campus.
The other just led a powerhouse California high school to a state championship but still received just one offer from a Power 5 team, an undersized dual-threat quarterback willing to travel 2,770 miles to play big-time college football.
One is Artur Sitkowski. The other is Jalen Chatman. Rutgers signed two quarterbacks on the first day of the new early-signing period on Wednesday, and on the surface, they couldn't be less alike.
