Trevor Morris remembers being taken under the wing of Rutgers’ older linebackers when he first arrived from his Malvern, Pa., prep school in 2015. The now-junior weakside linebacker believes it’s why he was able to step in and appear in all 12 games as a true freshman that season.
These days, Morris is returning the favor. The Scarlet Knights’ leading tackler has been a sounding board to Rutgers’ young linebacker corps, including Olakunle Fatukasi, who has seen action as a true freshman in all eight games.

“He really pays attention to detail,’’ Morris said.
