So stop me if this sounds familiar. Rutgers, after having one of the worst passing offenses in the country, will choose its starting quarterback for next season from this list of options:
A) The incumbent starter who led the team to a few victories but was mostly unimpressive as a passer;
B) The talented freshman who burned his redshirt but didn't play enough to get a true sense of his capabilities at this level;
C) An incoming recruit who has plenty of stars next to his name but the steep learning curve that comes from the high school to college transition;
D) A yet-to-be-determined player who transfers into the program after falling out of favor somewhere else.
