Free Throws: Yes, this is the big one. Rutgers misses free throws in the first half. The miss free throws in the clutch. They miss them and miss them and miss them. And while it may seem easily fixable, it’s not. Yes, Rutgers already has a sports psychologist on staff, one who was a former basketball coach himself. But the problem is this, the team isn’t full of good shooters. And because of that, each one tightens up at the line, knowing that if they don’t make them, the next guy might not either. Hopefully, Geo Baker and whomever else comes in next year can knock them down from the line.
