Freshman WR Mohamed Jabbie wants to make his own name at Rutgers

EDISON — Growing up the nephew of Rutgers' all-time leading receiver Mohamed Sanu has been a blessing and a curse for Mohamed Jabbie.

"It's always been good," Jabbie said. "But I always still get a lot of hate saying stuff like, 'You're only good because of your uncle' and stuff like that. But I try to brush it off. It's truly a blessing to have him around me my entire life and to see him progress to where he wanted to be in life."

Jabbie, who enrolled at Rutgers earlier this week, has benefited growing up with Sanu, who has 152 catches in his four-year NFL career.
