Former Rutgers great Ray Rice regrets everything about fateful night, says he is a “rehabilitated man”

At his lowest point in the last year, Ray Rice understood “what it felt like to not want to live anymore.”

The Rutgers football all-time great made that emotional statement and called himself a “rehabilitated man” during a powerful interview with ESPN’s Jemele Hill that aired Tuesday night on SportsCenter.

“I realized I couldn’t check out on my family,” a contrite-sounding Rice told Hill. “I couldn’t check out on my 3-year-old daughter. I know what it felt like to grow up without a father, so how could I turn my back on my family at this moment?
