MInday night, the Rutgers football program landed its second commitment of the day when Shawnee (Medford, N.J.) four-star Daevon Robinson pledged to the Knights following a strong official visit weekend at the school the weekend before.
An athlete who plays multiple roles on the gridiron, Robinson projects best as either a wide receiver, in-line or flex tight end, and can also play more of a h-back role.
The No. 35 recruit in the NJ.com Top 50, Robinson caught 29 passes for 225 yards and one receiving TD, as well as 52 rushing yards, 25 tackles, three forced fumbles, a sack and an interception in 2016.
