Philip Nelson literally traveled the country to keep his college football career going.
Now he is leaving it to get his pro football career started.
Nelson signed last week to the practice squad of the Canadian Football League's Winnipeg Blue Bombers, whose regular season ends this week. The signing seems to be more about an opportunity in the future for Nelson.
