The former walk-on Rutgers football player charged in an alleged plot to kill two people will spend the holidays at home rather than in a county jail, a judge ruled Wednesday.
Superior Court Judge Pedro Jimenez said prosecutors had not provided clear and convincing evidence that Izaia Bullock needed to remain jailed to protect witnesses and ensure he returns to court.
Bullock, 22, is instead being released under home detention with electronic monitoring. He's expected to leave jail Wednesday, officials said.
He was accused last month with plotting to kill family members of an acquaintance, and charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
