The annual Rutgers-Ohio State matchup has certainly become more interesting in the past week.
Former Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano will become Ohio State's new defensive coordinator/associate head coach, according to an ESPN report. Schiano essentially will be taking the place of Chris Ash, who was hired as Rutgers' head coach on Monday. Ash had been Ohio State's co-defensive coordinator for the past two seasons.
Schiano turned around the Rutgers program as head coach from 2001-11. He left in 2012 to become the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but was fired after two seasons.
Schiano has been working as a television analyst for the past two seasons, but he clearly wanted to return to the sidelines.
