ESPN is taking fire—even from its own employees—for giving former Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy a national platform to deny his guilt in a domestic violence case as he tries to rebuild his image for another NFL contract.
During an interview with ESPN's Adam Schefter, Hardy—a free agent—took a shot at Ray Rice. The former Rutgers and Baltimore Ravens running back is trying to rehab his image, too, after slugging his then-fiancee in an Atlantic City casino elevator two years ago. Rice's assault was captured on video.
Despite contrition and community service, Rice likely has played his last down in the NFL.
