COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Standing at midfield Saturday during a timeout from the Rutgers-Ohio State game, Piscataway native Malcolm Jenkins soaked in the applause for donating $250,000 back to his alma mater.
The catch -- as it long has been for Rutgers -- is that Jenkins went to Ohio State.
"Rutgers football was in our backyard," Jenkins said, "and my decision when I came out of high school was down to Rutgers and Ohio State -- and I made the right decision."
Jenkins, a star defensive back for the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles, admitted it was strange to see Rutgers playing on a Big Ten field.
