PISCATAWAY – If history is any indication, Leonte Carroo is going to own a share of Rutgers career record for receiving touchdowns after he makes his first catch Saturday.
Carroo has scored a touchdown on his first catch of each of the last two seasons, following up a 69-yarder on the first reception of his college career against Fresno State in 2013 with a 78-yarder on the first play from scrimmage against Washington State last season.
“What’s a better way to start the season than your first catch being a touchdown?” Carroo said. “A bunch of people have brought it to my attention.
