Rutgers could have opted to view the close-out moment of Saturday's 24-17 loss to Indiana as a controversial one, but it did not.
Head coach Chris Ash said he had no issue with defensive tackle Jon Bateky being flagged for jumping on the Hoosiers' fourth-and-1 play from their own 34 late in the game, and Rutgers did not argue the man Indiana sent in motion past Bateky had moved forward or jumped himself.
Indiana would have gotten a game-sealing first down either way, but quarterback Peyton Ramsey ended up taking advantage of the free play and hit tight end Peyton Hendershot for a 25-yard gain to ice the contest.
