Moving into the spring evaluation period, DePaul (Wayne, N.J.) linebacker Chris Conti appears to be one New Jersey recruit to have a growing affinity for the in-state Scarlet Knights.
Following Friday's visit to campus, the 6-2, 220-pound junior has Rutgers standing out, and for a number of reasons.
"We went to practice then had a variety of presentations," Conti told NJ.com, Tuesday. "I met with Coach (Jay) Neimann and Coach (Chris) Ash then had a photo shoot. Rutgers is a top school for me right now."
The possibility of early playing time, among other advantages, could also help Rutgers.
