Closer look: Can Rutgers keep winning with 1 of nation's 10 worst pass offenses since 2016?

Like a scientist looking for his breakthrough invention, Chris Ash had to tweak his original formulas.

On his first official day as Rutgers coach back in December 2015, Ash declared, "We'll have an offense that can score points. It's going to be exciting, and it's going to be fun to watch."

It turns out Rutgers' winning formula is to limit turnovers and pound the ball on the ground, as shown in back-to-back victories against Illinois and Purdue with less than 100 yards passing in each game.
