It’s official, the Rutgers football coaching staff has caught fire on the recruiting trail. For the third consecutive day, the program picked up a commitment for the class of 2018. This one is the biggest, in terms of physical size, as 6’5”, 365 pound offensive lineman Travis Jones from Connecticut has given a verbal pledge to Chris Ash. The news was first reported by Richie Schnyderite of Rivals via this tweet.
Although Jones is not rated and a bit raw, he certainly has the size that Rutgers desperately needs on the offensive line to be able to make the climb up the ladder in the Big Ten East.
