The situation had gotten out of hand at High Point Solutions Stadium, to put it mildly. Rutgers already had a 65-0 lead on its overwhelmed opponent when redshirt freshman linebacker Rashawn Battle -- making his collegiate debut -- intercepted a pass and returned it to the Morgan State 2 yard line.
The game still had four and a half excruciating minutes left. Rutgers head coach Chris Ash had emptied his bench long ago, but even the walk-ons and fourth-team players on the field were going to punch the ball into the end zone if they tried.
