Chris Ash offers 1st take on Kyle Bolin, Johnathan Lewis as Rutgers QB battle begins

NEW YORK -- One is a 23-year old who has spent the past four years on a college campus, earning his Bachelor's degree in sports administration.

The other is less than a month removed from his high school graduation.

But Kyle Bolin and Johnathan Lewis have a few things in common these days: Both arrived in the last week of May for the start of the Rutgers football program's summer workouts and are now officially competing for the team's starting quarterback position.

While Chris Ash is careful to note that he has yet to evaluate either from a football-skills perspective, the Rutgers coach said he has had a positive first impression of Bolin and Lewis this month.
