PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers coach Chris Ash has reached into the New Jersey high school ranks to add to his football staff.
Ash on Wednesday hired Rick Mantz as his director of high school relations.
Mantz spent the previous two seasons as the coach at Passaic High School. Prior to that, he served as coach at South Brunswick High School for four seasons.
A graduate of Hillsborough High School, Mantz compiled an 81-39 record in 12 seasons coaching his alma mater.
Mantz coached former Scarlet Knights Shaun O'Hara (Hillsborough) and Mohamed Sanu (South Brunswick), both of which enjoyed success in the NFL.
