PISCATAWAY — Chris Ash knows his honeymoon at Rutgers, which started from the moment he stepped into his introductory press conference and has happily kept churning along ever since, will end. And, most likely, that this will happen sooner than later.
He isn't being pessimistic. He just understands the reality of being a college football coach, that eventually, someone is going to get arrested or some big recruit is going to change his mind or some better opponent is going to put a big number on the scoreboard.
"Things are going great," Ash told NJ Advance Media one recent morning in a wide-ranging interview.
