PISCATAWAY – Leonte Carroo is not the Rutgers football team’s offensive coordinator, but he’d like to be.
“If I had an offense like this, I would enjoy it,” the standout receiver said Sunday. “It’s a lot of fun to call plays when you have great receivers, great running backs, a line that’s physical and two smart, gun-slinging quarterbacks.”
That might sound like an optimistic take on what the Scarlet Knights return from last fall’s 8-5 campaign, but the point stands: new offensive coordinator Ben McDaniels inherits talented players. He also benefits from a sense of continuity, having been the program’s wide receivers coach in 2014.
