Can Rutgers model its recruiting after the way Big Ten schools recruit?

If there's a model for Rutgers coach Chris Ash as he tries to rebuild a program coming off a 4-8 campaign that included a 1-7 record in Big Ten play, it's Michigan State.

In 2007, Mark Dantonio inherited a Spartans program coming off an identical record. It took him four years to build Michigan State into a team good enough to win a share of the Big Ten title and, today, the Spartans are fresh off an appearance in the College Football Playoff semifinals and widely viewed as a perennial Big Ten contender.
