Can Robert Martin be Rutgers' next 1,000-yard rusher?

PISCATAWAY — In 146 years of football, Rutgers has had seven players rush for 1,000 yards or more in a season.

Toady Bracher (1915), Bryant Mitchell (1968), J.J. Jennings (1972, '73), Curt Edwards (1975), Terrell Willis (1993, '94), Ray Rice (2005, '06, '07) and Jawan Jamison (2012) are the only Scarlet Knights to accomplish the grand feat.

Jamison, who rushed for 1,075 yards in 2012, is the last Rutgers player to accomplish the feat. Since then, Rutgers' leading rusher has accumulated 881 yards (Paul James), 447 yards (Desmon Peoples) and 763 yards (Robert Martin) over the past three seasons.
