The new regime at Rutgers is keen on keeping it's best talent at home in New Jersey. Sometimes, that means keeping the five-star types away from prowling SEC programs. Other times, that means identifying the diamonds in the rough early on in the recruiting process and locking them up before word spreads beyond the borders of the Garden State. That's exactly what Rutgers is hoping to do with Toms River North athlete Bryce Watts.
In late February, the Scarlet Knights became the first school to offer Watts. From the sound of it, it might not take long for him to commit to Rutgers.
