And you thought the Big Ten had big problems before last weekend.
The initial College Football Playoff rankings put No. 6 Ohio State, No. 7 Penn State and No. 9 Wisconsin on the outside looking in at the four-team tournament. Then came losses by Ohio State and Penn State that knocked both teams out of the Associated Press Top 25 and essentially eliminated any playoff chances.
And that's only half (albeit the bigger half) of the Big Ten's problem.

Losses by Nebraska to Northwestern and Maryland to Rutgers further muddied the picture at the bottom of the Big Ten.
