It’s been a wacky year inside the Big Ten. While one team (Michigan State) is virtually assured of a College Football Playoff berth and two others (Iowa and Ohio State) appear ticketed for major bowl games, two teams (Nebraska and Minnesota) are likely bowl-bound despite posting 7-loss regular-season campaigns. Besides the “New Year’s 6’’ games, there are eight bowl spots and only seven Big Ten teams can qualify, which leaves the Armed Forces Bowl open for another conference qualifier.
