The last time No. 1-ranked Jason Nolf wrestled was at Rutgers. The Penn State national champion was forced to injury default against John VanBrill in the Nittany Lions' Jan. 28 dual meet win at the Scarlet Knights, and he's been out since with a knee injury.
Nolf has been entered into the field for this weekend's 2018 Big Ten Championships and is tied for the top pre-seed at 157 pounds. But will he actually compete, or simply injury default once his first bout begins to buy himself more time to get healthy and stay eligible for an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships?
