The Big Ten names an Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Player of the Week each Monday during the season, but the non-winning candidates are never revealed.
So, every Monday morning, NJ.com will compile a list of the best individual performances around the Big Ten regardless of his team's outcome and hand out "game balls."
Keep in mind, however, history shows that the Big Ten tends to select players from winning teams unless a player goes off in a losing effort ... as happened this week.
