Tuesday, Rutgers received its 17th pledge of the 2018 class when Christian Brothers Academy (Albany, N.Y.) running back Stevie Scott chose the Scarlet Knights.
"I chose Rutgers because it was close to home and I felt comfortable playing for the coaches and living in the area," Scott told NJ.com. "I feel I can be a game changer for the school and get a good education."
And apparently, his commitment wasn't only shocking to fans, but to head coach Chris Ash, as well.
"He said it shocked him," said Scott. "He said it made his day.
