CHICAGO -- The Big Ten and Fox just escalated its dispute with Comcast in a big way.
Rutgers fans in New Jersey have to be concerned they're about to be caught in the crossfire.
Comcast, which says it has 22 million television subscribers and 18 million internet subscribers in the Garden State, has already pulled Big Ten Network off its television packages in states outside the Big Ten footprint ahead of its contract expiring with the conference and Fox, its partner, on Sept. 1.
And when that contract expires? There's a very good chance all Comcast subscribers will lose the ability to see all games broadcast on BTN, as well as Big Ten games on Fox Sports 1, according to BTN president Mark Silverman.
