Each week as the rankings are unveiled, fans and media alike wonder how the College Football Playoff committee will go about settling nearly impossible decisions when there are eight-to-10 teams battling for just four spots.
But, again, the playing field seems to always make those decisions easy.
Alabama is obviously in if it wins out and a strong case can be made that the Crimson Tide — should it go into the SEC Championship game unblemished — will be in even if it loses to Georgia in the SEC Championship game.
Oklahoma is in if it wins its final two regular-season games and prevails in the Big 12 Championship.
