PISCATAWAY – Nick Arcidiacono enjoyed watching two-time NFL All-Pro Rob Gronkowski play tight end even when there was more than two degrees of separation between them.
Arcidiacono is entering his first season as the starting tight end for Rutgers at the same time that Ben McDaniels is entering his first season as the team’s offensive coordinator.
McDaniels’ older brother Josh is the New England Patriots play-caller whose usage of the tight end helped Gronkowski’s star be born. Ties between Rutgers and the Patriots run deep.
