NEWARK -- Angel Delgado nearly put his foot in his mouth.
Instead he used it to kick the Rutgers men's basketball team off a shared perch with Seton Hall in the New Jersey college basketball ranks.
Delgado collected his seventh double-double of the season to lead Seton Hall to a 72-61 victory Friday night in a rivalry game that lived up to the pre-Christmas hype in front of a sellout crowd of 10,481 at the Prudential Center.
With the teams' guards effectively canceling each other out -- Rutgers' Nigel Johnson and Corey Sanders and Seton Hall's Khadeen Carrington and Desi Rodriguez were the outside shot-makers -- the edge in the frontcourt loomed as large as expected.
