9 totally random observations after Rutgers shows improvement vs. Michigan | Under the radar?

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- How does a college football game get played these days in just 3 hours and 2 minutes?

It's not easy in the era of offenses routinely throwing 40 or more times per game and longer television timeouts.

But Rutgers-Michigan was an old-school battle of rushing offenses.

And Michigan's was just better in a 35-14 victory victory against Rutgers.

Six of the game's seven touchdowns were scored on the ground by five different players.

Both teams entered the game ranked near the bottom of the nation in touchdown passes -- five for Rutgers and four for Michigan -- and it's no surprise that there was a quarterback change and only one touchdown pass.
