#9 Rutgers Men’s Lacrosse Dominates #17 Michigan In 16-8 Victory On Senior Day

After suffering a heartbreaking one goal defeat last weekend in a top ten battle against Johns Hopkins, the #9 Rutgers men’s lacrosse team bounced back in a big way on Sunday. They were dominate on both ends and ambushed #17 Michigan (7-4; 0-2) by jumping out to a commanding 12-0 lead, holding the visitors scoreless all the way into the second half. Their largest lead was 16-3 in the fourth quarter, after Kieran Mullins completed a tremendous performance in scoring 8 goals on the day. While Michigan scored the final 5 goals in the game, Rutgers still won easily, securing an impressive 16-8 victory, their first Big Ten win of the season.
