Rutgers coach Chris Ash hired Bergen Catholic’s Nunzio Campanile as his new running backs coach, he said, because Campanile “checked all the boxes.”
“He’s a guy I’ve watched over the last two years and have gained a ton of respect for with the way that he works, the relationships he has with his players, his staff,” Ash said Thursday on a conference call announcing Campanile’s hire. “He’s a guy who was always wanting to talk ball. You’d see him at clinics all over the place trying to get better.
“He’s been successful, both as a coordinator and as a head coach.
