5 keys to Rutgers-Michigan: Can the Scarlet Knights solve a top defense?

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Rutgers game at Michigan on Saturday (3:30 p.m., BTN) is considered a mismatch.

The Wolverines opened as 21.5-point favorites and the line climbed to 24 points by Friday night. The spread makes sense considering Michigan (6-2) has a load of talent and is well-coached by Jim Harbaugh, while Rutgers (3-5) is reeling after consecutive losses to Wisconsin and Ohio State by a combined score of 97-17.

But the gulf shouldn't be that significant. Or at least it doesn't have to be. It has only been a little more than a year since Rutgers' 26-24 win over Michigan.
