PISCATAWAY — Rutgers coach Kyle Flood got his first live look at his team in Saturday's scrimmage.
The scrimmage capped a stretch of eight practices in 13 days to open spring practice. There was no practice on Sunday or Monday, giving players some time to recover and coaches an opportunity to examine the team at the midpoint of the spring.
Rutgers is back on the field Tuesday for the first of three practices this week. Position battles should intensify as the Scarlet-White game looms on April 24.
