For a second day in a row, Rutgers football has lost a recruit from the 2018 class, as 3-Star wide receiver E.J. Turner from Georgia has decommitted.
On Monday, 3-star quarterback Sean Chambers decommitted from Rutgers. That was less of a loss considering Chris Ash and the staff have a firm commitment from Jalen Chatman, another 3-star dual threat QB from California who visited campus again this past weekend. In addition, Rutgers picked up a commitment from 2019 QB Zamar Wise, also a 3-star dual threat signal caller.
The loss of Turner hurts more though, as the 6'1" receiver chose Rutgers this summer over more than a dozen other FBS offers and is the type of deep threat receiver the Rutgers offense desperately needs.
