#25 Rutgers Women’s Soccer Defeats Indiana 1-0 In OT

The Rutgers women’s soccer team continued their recent strong play with an important 1-0 victory over Indiana in overtime on the road on Saturday night.

Sophomore Brittany LaPlant scored the game winner for the second consecutive game, this time in the 96th minute. Kenie Wright crossed the ball into the box and LaPlant headed it in from about five yards out. It was the fourth goal of the season for LaPlant and the fifth assist for Wright.

"[Scoring the game winner] is something you never get used to," said LaPlant. "Having the opportunity to play for something so much greater than yourself and getting that result is just amazing.
