When Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, N.Y.) junior Atrilleon Williams committed to Rutgers Tuesday, he did so with the support of a prior Knight commit in his corner.
Williams is a close competitor of Rutgers wide receiver commit Shameen Jones, who plays for Cardinals Hayes (Bronx, N.Y.). The two athletes' schools play in the same football conference and are highly competitive.
But more important is their friendship.
"I have a close friend that is a 2017 recruit that helped me, gave me pointers and stuff," the 6-2, 185-pound Williams told NJ.
