Satellite camps are basically instructional skills clinics that permit college coaches to travel long distances to work as guests at camps hosted by other institutions. Because its camp is within 50 miles of campus, the Rutgers Tri-State Showcase is not a satellite camp. It has the same basic designation as the eight on-campus camps Rutgers is holding throughout June. Because it's not a satellite camp, Rutgers can run the camp itself and it has less restrictive rules to follow.
The Next Level Football camp hosted by Paramus Catholic is a satellite camp and is subject to more restrictive NCAA rules.
