Yankees P Luis Severino Continues To Make Progress During Rehab

MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch reports that Yankees pitcher Luis Severino faced live batters for the first time on Thursday since Tommy John surgery in February of last year. The session took place at the Yankees Tampa facility, and Severino felt comfortable enough to test his fastball.

This got lost in the pregame news but Luis Severino touched 96 mph today and looked good. First time facing hitters since TJ surgery.

New York will now take the time to closely monitor how he feels before moving to the next stage in his rehab plan.
