Westbrook Teaching Self Defense in AZ

This month the Washington Redskins are observing a 20-year draft anniversary they’d likely rather forget: picking Colorado WR Michael Westbrook fourth overall.

Westbrook was a consensus All-American in 1994, winner of the Paul Warfield Trophy given to the nation’s top WR, and the centerpiece of “The Miracle at Michigan” Hail Mary that clinched a memorable upset over the Wolverines in Ann Arbor.

He had a decent eight-year NFL career (seven in Washington, the last in Cincinnati), though fell considerably short of fulfilling his original draft value. His time in D.C. is best remembered for Westbrook pummeling teammate Stephen Davis during training camp in 1997.
